Click - Photography Workshop: Thoughts and Thanks
The Photography Workshop, CLICK went about well and as scheduled on 21st March 2010. Here are some thoughts and thanks on behalf of Yuva to the people responsible for it.
Let me start with a BIG THANKS to Ashish Vanjari for conducting the workshop. Thanks to Sujay, Nikhil, Gary, Mangesh and Onkar for not only organizing the workshop, but also working out details such as power back-up, food& snacks. Another BIG thanks to Maharashtra Mandal, Bangalore for making available the Mandal hall and facilities and mostly their continued support to us which is very encouraging. Thanks to everyone else who contributed alongside.
Around 28 people had registered, most of them turned up barring 3-4 who dropped out last minute due to emergencies. There were more interested, but did not register due to prior commitments. The age group of the participants was approximately 13 - 35 years. About 10 of the participants were a mix of non-Yuva and non-Marathi. Thanks to all those who showed interest and participated making this a big success, or should I say they made 'CLICK' click. Needless to say, it was a great success.
Ashish did a great job to bring along prints of his work, which not only showed his caliber as a passionate photographer, but also awed the audience, who browsed past while we waited during the minor start-up delays. The content was a good mix of the technical aspects, practical attempts, creative theories, and some story bytes from Ashish's experience. I am very sure most of them have a new perspective towards photography, have new ideas and will look at their cameras for better execution of their ideas into better and stunning photos.
The audience was largely interactive, with lot of queries and inputs too. Am sure they had suggestions/comments which I guess they must have put down in their feedback forms. Looking forward to the next part, where the next level of photography will be explored. Yuva will be sending updates on this soon.
Toward the end of the workshop, there was a job to hand to close the event as well, collections had to be reviewed payments had to be made, winding up, helping Ashish wind up... the organizers' job wasn't done. There was an unforeseen shortage of funds, I guess due to the few dropouts. But Yuva in its usual way was quick to act... all the Yuva members present go out additional contributions and help match-up, not only that they also helped in the winding up process as well. Finally the event was a success in the true sense; it got U and V together. Here's hoping that more people come ahead to be a part upcoming events.

Skandagiri Night Trek
Recently a group of Yuva people had been one of the beautiful places near Bangalore Called “Skandagiri”. It is 70 Km Away from Bangalore and we were around 18 people. It was a night trek. We started our journey around 10.30 Pm from Bangalore. We had one car and 6 bikes and it was too cold. In spite that riding bike on airport road was such great experience. In between we took halt for tea. It was full moon night (Poornima), as usual we missed the road but we enjoyed each and every movement of warm weather and reach at Skandagiri around 2 A.M. and started trekking from the base at 2.30 A.M. With lots of hitches and stiffness of the rock we all people reached on top at around 5 P.M. We had some food and enjoyed the camp fire and then we were waiting for the moment that we came for - 'The Sun Rise'. Every one stood upright to experience such a great moment. Lots of people were there along with us. Finally that moment which we were waiting for was there and suddenly fog transferred to cloud in front of our eyes and we were on the top I mean above the cloud. After that Sun entered in such great cloudy environment. It was such great experience and a memorable 0ne. We got the chance to see the beauty of nature. Finally we started our returning journey. In the entire trek everyone was enthusiastic and reached at base around 10 P.M. and returned to home safely with such great memory. We should say thanks to Abhijeet Murty,Aditi and Gourav who arranged such great night trek. I would like to suggest everyone to see Skandgiri once in life.

Yuva's successful debut at Sudarshan - Pune
Yes!! Yuva proved themselves, again.
Yuva participated in Sudarshan Rangmanch Dhirganka Spardha which was held in Pune on 25th to 27th Dec 2009. Yuva participated in the competition with Dhirgankika 'Abhas'. The play was written by Pramod Khadilkar and directed by Sujay Ghorpadkar from Yuva .In Bangalore Yuva has participated in different events of Maharashtra Mandal and showed their talent but this time Yuva decided to show our ability in another city like Pune and Yuva ownered with different hats like 'Uttejanarth'(consolation prize) in Best actor and Best Play category. Yuva had got an invitation to participate in the competition after Rangadakshini 2009 performance "Samantar".
Sudarshan Rangmanch Dhirganka Spardha is one of the prestigious competition in Pune. It was my pleasure that I got the chance to involve in a such great event. It was great fun too... I mean starting from reading the script to the actual performance on stage. Every one put their effort to make it happen.
Abhas was based on the people who couldn't complete their dreams and how god give the filling of accomplishment of their dreams through drama. Finally give the hope for life.
To make the event successful Yuva flew with feathers like
Direction: Sujay
Onstage: Pramod,Mayuresh,Nilaj,Shashi,Aboli,
Lights: Ravi, Nikhil Manohar.
Music: Onkar,Sarang
Backstage: Mangesh,Gaurav,Sarus,Gary
Coordinator: Anagha
Other Yuva, both from Bangalore and the ones relocated to Pune like Nikhil, Sagar etc. helped on D-day

Yuva at Jallosh '09
Yuva was happy to be a part of Jallosh '09. It was good experience to be here with a new crew (A combination of many associations accross Bangalore). Yuva was involved with the Direction of the play - "Love Letter" (by myself) and nivedan - both written by Pramodh Khadilkar (our nehmechaach yashasvi lekhak) Shashi and Mayuresh were a part of the nivedan. Garry & Anand were a part of the cast of the play. Darshan did all the shakes in the dances.... ( liked the way he lip-synced as he danced.... cool!)
Jallosh created a good platform for many youngsters and freshers in the field of Theatre, Music, Dance and Event Management.
